Conference Notes for Attendees
Conference Attendees: Pick up your badges at Check-in under your name. No paperwork needed. Our Check-in table will be located at the Academy Foyer at the Burbank Marriott Hotel’s convention center (the Conference hotel venue). All attendee names and payments were due in hand by 4/19/24 — a paid order with your attendee info means you are registered and will have a badge waiting for you. Model School Visit Trip: Pickup is 8am outside the front entrance of the Conference hotel venue. Buses will depart at 8:30am. There will be 2-3 buses that will have pre-arranged schedules of school visits in varying sequences. The locations and bus schedules are subject to change. Meet and Greet Party: Big social event with food, games, giveaways and a no host bar. Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 6:30pm – 9pm. All Conference attendees are invited to join us at the Burbank Marriott Hotel for some fun and networking. View party info

Model Schools Awards Gala: Please read all the Gala attendee instructions below! The awards dinner will be Saturday, April 27th @ Universal Studios Hollywood (Sound Stage 15). At the Gala dinner, newly-selected Model Schools for 2024 will be awarded and recognized in person. Busing from the hotel to the gala starts as early as 3pm; President’s reception 6:30pm; dinner at 7:30pm, with the awards ceremony to follow, ending around 10pm. Attire is evening casual. How to check you are registered: The Gala is sold out, and no additional guests can be added due to very strict rules of the venue. All guest names and emails were required with payment by Friday, 4/19/24. If there is a paid order with your attendee info submitted by that date, you will be on the guest list for access to the Universal Studios property. Due to the large guest list and current queue, we are unable to verify every attendee individually. Please check your paid order emails or connect with your purchaser (if someone else registered you) to verify your confirmation. A paid order with all required attendee info submitted by 4/19/24 means you are confirmed.
How to get access to Gala: Tickets are required to get on the Universal Studios property to reach the Gala location Sound Stage 15. You may verify you are on the Gala guest list by visiting CCEA’s Conference Check-in table in the Academy Foyer at the Burbank Marriott Hotel. To actually pick up your tickets, visit CCEA’s Gala Check-in table located at the bus drop off gate of Universal Studios theme park. Tickets will be available at that location starting 2:30pm on Saturday, April 27th. We will have a detailed guest list with all attendee names and email addresses, the same one we can cross-reference for you at the Conference hotel. Paid Gala guests (tickets and tables on the required guest list) whose names were submitted in advance will be provided admission to the Universal Studios theme park on Saturday, April 27th. Due to strict venue requirements, there are no exceptions!
How to find the location and park: There will be shuttles running between the Conference hotel venue and Universal Studios starting at 3pm. Parking is available at the hotel and at Universal Studios in their lots by following their venue rules and guidelines (self park). Please contact the venues for more information about their parking options. We do not have special parking included, unless you have prearranged with the hotel or are staying there (please contact the hotel directly for those questions).
