Model Schools Awards Gala: Saturday, April 26th @ USS Midway aircraft carrier on the water. At the Gala dinner, newly-selected Model Schools for 2025 will be awarded and recognized in person. Attire is evening casual. Transportation is provided to and from the hotel venue at no extra charge for badged Conference attendees and paid guests. No paper tickets needed, all attendees will be included by name at the Check-in table/security. Tentative schedule: busing from the hotel to the gala starts as early as 6pm; President’s reception 6:30pm; dinner at 7:30pm, with the awards ceremony to follow. After 4/18/24, ticket prices will increase to $135 per person; ticket purchases are recommended by 4/21/24; after that, if space is still available, tickets will only be available by credit card on site. Reserve tables by 4/21/24. Professional awards and exemplary programs will be presented the day before on April 25th (see below). Exemplary Programs and Professional Awards Lunch: Friday, April 25th @ San Diego Town & Country Resort, from 11:45am – 1:45pm. Awards include Exemplary Programs, Superintendent of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Officer of the Year, Classified Employee of the Year, Counselor or Support Person of the Year, and our Student Essay winners. Exemplary Programs will be featured. Professional awards and the exemplary programs showcase will be presented in person, for the 2024-2025 school year. Lunch with a speaker, special guests, awards for personnel, essays, student art, Region Basket, Vendor’s Raffle/Auction Prizes. After 4/18/24, ticket prices will increase to $99 per person; ticket purchases are recommended by 4/21/24; after that, if space is still available, tickets will only be available by credit card on site.
