Are you an administrator, director, counselor or teacher working in alternative education? CCEA Plus is proud to introduce The Leadership Academy—a transformative initiative designed to equip leaders in continuation high schools, community day schools, and other alternative education settings with the tools, knowledge, and strategies they need to succeed.

The Leadership Academy offers tailored workshops that focus exclusively on the unique challenges and opportunities within alternative education. With a strong emphasis on the California Education Code and its application to alternative settings, participants will dive into innovative strategies and best practices to foster student success and improve school performance.

About the Leadership Academy

  • Open to principals, teachers and staff in alternative education.
  • One day workshop event following the Model School Reader sessions.
  • Similar to previous “Principals’ Institute” events.

Schedule for the Saturday workshops:

  • 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM | Breakfast (provided)
  • 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM | Session 1
  • 10:45 PM – 12:15 PM | Session 2
  • 12:15 PM – 1:15 PM | Lunch (provided)
  • 1:20 PM – 2:50 PM | Session 3
  • 2:55 PM – 3:15 PM | Q&A with Presenters and close the workshop

This professional development workshop follows the Model School Reading sessions on the Friday before the Leadership Academy.
