About the program:  The Independent Study Recognition Program governs a special statewide award that recognizes excellence in alternative education for independent programs. Eligible applicants include Public Charter Schools, Local District Programs, County Office of Education Programs. Designated schools are honored in person at the annual Conference, and publicly announced to peer schools as an exceptional model to replicate in the state of California.
